5.2000- Managing Director, Knowledge Press (Kunnskapsforlaget ANS). Kunnskapsforlaget is Norways only publisher specializing in encyclopedias, dictionaries and other reference literature. The company has 80 employees. Kunnskapsforlaget is owned 50/50 by Norways two major publishing houses, H. Aschehoug & Co (W. Nygaard) and Gyldendal ASA.
4.1998-5.2000: General manager Internet/intranet, Union Bank of Norway (UBN, Sparebanken NOR).
This included development of UBN’s corporate Internet/intranet strategy, developing and launching a new Internet site – including new Internet bank (bank, funds, stocks) and new information site, establishing corporate WEB-design and communications platform, choosing and developing web publishing system, etc. Heading the crossfunctional WEB-department meant direct responsibility for 4 people, but project responsibility for other people across several departments (IT, marketing, communications, product development, customer service etc.).

Direct responsibility for 12 people working with customer relationship management (CRM), market analyses&research, direct marketing, data warehousing, customer loyalty programs etc.

Main responsibility: Strategic development , launch and running of UBN’s "Total Customer Program" – loyalty program for UBN’s best private customers. The program is based on a combination of product benefits and dialogue marketing, and has generated net revenues from the start (increased sales to program participants has alone covered more than the costs of running the program). Development of UBN’s automated system for dialogue marketing, based on data warehouse and marketing information system.

Most of the time working in the ticketing department. I started out being responsible for development of the ticketing administration&sales system, but quickly received widened responsibilities including development of general ticketing sales strategy and distribution policies, responsibility for marketing and sales of event tickets to the Norwegian public (800.000 tickets corresponding to a net revenue of US$20 Million), printing and distribution of 2.4 million sports- and event tickets to more than 100.000 customers worldwide, as well as being press spokesman for ticket sales to the Norwegian public.
